However, there wére also some Koréan Artist Series Stráts made around 1995-1996 with no serial numbers, and many Korean-made Japanese Market models had no serial numbers as well. Load some pictures of the control cavity of the guitar and the back of the pickguard with the electronics and pickups. They make guitars in China and Indonesia now and Korea is reserved for higher end models. The tuners look original and being upgraded are likely the later Samick Korean built ones. If someone refinished it they also likely upgraded pickups because that's the popular thing to do. Their own branded guitars tend to be well built and better built than many at the same price points. ![]() Samick makes 80% of all the import guitars for all the brands. The wear on the arm rest can tell you if there is ply in there without even opening it up. The body is just a chassis to hold all the bits in the right spots. ![]() Don't fear the ply's!
